Current and recent curriculum development projects that Torben is involved in include:
- Curriculum Adviser for the Electronics in Schools Strategy
- Development of web based materials for the ECT initiative
- Development of an ECT GCSE specification to support the ECT initiative
- Work with Peter Branson to support the development of electronics within GCSE Engineering specifications
- Development of 'control technology' resources for a school associted with the College of New Jersey in Trenton, USA
Past curriculum development projects have included:
- Contributions to curriculum materials of the Technology Enhancement Programme; originator of elements of the "Technology 14-16" texts on 'Electronics', 'Structures', 'Control', 'Mechanisms', 'Manufacturing' and ‘The Young Technologist’s Handbook’
- Contributions to curriculum materials of the SATIS Science with Technology Project
- Contributions to electronics and control elements in the Nuffield KS3 D&T materials
- Contributions to electronics and control elements in the Nuffield KS4 D&T:Electronic Products materials
- Development of systems and control units for QCA's KS3 Design and Technology Exemplar Scheme of Work
